Time pays off

I've kind of left this blog off to the side in order to work on my other blogs. I want to clean this up a bit and post more here. I've noticed all of my blogs seem to be community blogs (2 or more authors) therefore it excludes me from certain advertising programs etc.

Most bloggers now seem to be interested in one common goal. To make a successful blog that can result in some sort of income.
Blogs aren't always going to earn you the most money on the internet. Everything seems to be about time. The more time you put in the more income you can potentially earn.

There is other money to be made online. I've read tons of bloggers being very happy with Mylot. I am one of them. I don't really care too much for a site like that, where you post discussions and reply. Much like a forum but its hard to tell whos just posting for cash and who actually cares. In the end it doesnt really matter I guess.

I've earned some money by posting, not much. With 93 posts I've earned 4.28. Some people can post that in a day, with me its taken me longer, just depends on time. Yet with my now 7 referrals (with about 3-4 really active) they have earned me 10$.

With a minimum payout of 10 dollars I could get my 14.36 right now if I wanted, but Ive decided to wait.

It won't earn you a fortune, but I hope you decide to join Mylot. Whats wrong with an extra 10 $ just for a few hours of posting? Its what you would be doing for free on myspace, yahoo, or any other forum

Might as well get PAID.

Adwords Summary

I started a daily log of how adwords helped my site, but I didn't keep up with it. I recently stopped using it, due to all of the google adsense accounts being deactivated.

Here are my final stats from Google Adwords

On Google partner sites it showed my ad 84,707 times with 33 clicks costing 3.70$

Overall including search engine ads as well as the "partner sites" my ad had 93,488 impressions, 64 clicks, at the cost of 8.85$

I seemingly earned more money with adwords getting users to my site, but at what cost? I recently received an email warning me of false impressions and/or clicks and that my account will be terminated if it continues.

Since that email, I have moved other feature ads to the top and better locations. I doubt I will ever make the 100$ payout at google, and on this site I've removed their ads completely.

I strongly suggest adbrite, it seems to have gotten better, I get more ads and I at least generate a few cents a day even without getting clicks.

Advertisers

The more I have been surfing through blogs, the more I see Adsense terminating accounts. Funny thing is its usually when they are close to the 100$ mark. Between 80-99 I've noticed they've been shutting down certain accounts.

Its hard to tell you how to prevent "invalid" clicks, besides by not clicking your own ads. Anyone could sit there and click ads for you all day and you couldn't stop them.


I've converted this main ad to Adbrite and I'm currently looking for other ads to replace. The Clickbooth - Make Money! affiliate ads arent bad, but most of the offers need you to send the person to either signup or buy something, there isn't pay per clicks.

Bidvertiser is rather slow in loading, takes a long time.

Feel free to submit other ad places and I'll try them out and you get a free referral. Incentive eh? :)

My blogs are doing well, as good as I can expect for now. I'm really hoping to expand them. It would be awesome to piggy back my fantasy football blog on a bigger website, but no real solid offers yet.

Before I go if your a blogger looking for someone to put some text link ad's on your site check out money4blogs. They usually offer x amount of $ for a year worth of ads.

Bye Bye Google Adsense!

I took google adsense off this site so I can do what I want and not have to worry about my account getting discontinued.

I've read recently a lot of people are getting warned and removed. I want to keep my traffic exchanges as well as add more and see how that helps the traffic of this site for one, and two my ad earnings.

I will try to provide some more valuable content as well as links to other sites. A few of these "money making" blogs have been quite useful to me. I've used a lot of their ideas and sites for my own. Here's my two favorites.

http://mikesmoneymakingmission.blogspot.com/ He posts weekly his earnings and how he is getting referrals on hit sites. Very helpful!

http://westen30.blogspot.com/ this blog has some interesting ideas including Ebay auctions for text ad space! Im very interested in how this will work out for him, and I am going to try it on my other blog that has more traffic

Adwords Day 4

Finally seeing some results

My ad has been shown 5,632 times on Partner sites with 5 clicks costing me 74 cents

Overall Ive had 6,442 ads shown, only about a thousand off my keywords.

11 Total Clicks= 2.12$

No one is clicking MY ads at adsense, but I am averaging about 10 cents a day and a little change on adbrite

My traffic has been more consistent, I almost had 200 unique viewers yesterday

Adwords Day #3

So far my ad was shown on 133 searchs of "sports blog"

2 off fantasy football blog

and 454 on Partner Sites

Total impression 589, Cost= 0

I havent gotten any clicks yet

Good thing though I am getting hits off of google. My site is fairly well ranked on certain key words :)

Im averaging about 6 cents a day alone off of Adsense now lol, but thats only about a dollars worth

This site is the only one that I've actually liked. Its pretty decent and professional, not thrown together with a thousand ads

AdWords Day #2

Well I decided to take off trafficzap even though it was getting me a decent amount of traffic. The thing with them is they have popup ads. I finally got blogexplosion to look at my site and they declined me again because of the ad's.

I logged on to AdWords today and was surprised. They had displayed my text ads over 100 times, but since no one clicked on it then it hasnt cost me anything. So far they've shown:

23 Times on the Google Search "Sports Blogs"
104 Times on "Partner sites" Im assuming sites like this that have their adsense on the page

127 Displays 0 Clicks 0 Cost

Not really helping me yet but hopefully it will start getting me some views!

Google Adwords Experiment Day 1

I've decided to invest in google adwords, hoping to break at least even. My current budget is set to 30$

I will post my daily stats. Now the increase of traffic won't be all adwords but it should be some. I've been signing up to other places that are getting me hits

Traffic Zap has been pretty good in getting me some hits. They've sent me like 50 people since I signed up the other day.

I asked around to other bloggers and site owners and I was surprised that no one I talked to had used Adwords before, so I'm just kinda going in blind hoping for the best.

So here is yesterdays total. Slow day but hopefully it will pick up!

Among the other traffic exchange places I've found Traffic Zap

Now unlike blogmad, blogadvance and blogsoldiers

This one I believe is for all websites, so it's very unlikely you will not get approved. They have a few rules, just look them over. Since I've been approved I've had a few hits, but it goes by impressions.

So basically the busier you are the more hits you get. All you have to do is post the code in your site and your set to go.






Traffic Swarm

Another traffic exchange I've beeen dabbling with. These all are decent but the blog exchanges kill them hits wise.

With BlogMad, as long as I have credits I can get anywhere from 50-100 hits a day. It's crazy but on my site I'm up to 200+ a day. Its nice to wake up to nearly 100 hits :)

Traffic Swarm is giving me some hits, I dont know if I get it right. I have about 150 credits but its only sending me a few hits daily.

Half the time it wouldnt load, and I hadnt had any clicks. I'm trying things that are going to work for me and that definitely wasnt working.

The Beginning

So far so good.

Its just like everything else, when I get into it, I really get into it

I try to update daily, get new ideas, and im constantly searching on those traffic exchange sites

The two I'm on right now are..

blogsoldiers

and blogmad

Blogmad gets me tons of hits a day, just have to spend a little time surfing, or you can buy credits. If you want some daily hits it's just the thing you need. I can post my totals after I get this blog going, but I wont be assigning the majority of my traffic here.

Blogsoldiers must not be as big of a site, because I get significantly less hits, but its still worth it. You will find you spend more time with blogmad, the hits are more constant.

Im really disappointed with blogexplosion though, I have been waiting forever to get approved. It's pretty sad, I've already spent money on some of these traffic sites, not a lot but its something, blogexplosion is missing out lol.

Ill be adding and updating things as I go... a few places I liked, some ads and everything else.
