Buying Online Becomes Safer

America's largest online flooring retailer, iFLOOR, is taking a huge step in helping their customers. They have announced a 1,000,000 limited warranty to help protect their customers. The policy offers up to one million dollars in the event the customers warranty claim is denied, if they purchased online. It's another way to expand and secure their online presence and reputation.

Press Release:
iFLOOR, America's largest online flooring retailer, today announced a $1,000,000 limited warranty designed to protect its customers from predatory manufacturer policies that exclude warranty coverage from online purchases.

The policy, which goes into effect immediately, offers up to one million dollars of coverage in the event that a customer's warranty claim is denied specifically because they made their purchase online. It is complimentary for every iFLOOR customer, and protects the buyer under the same terms as the original product warranty.

iFLOOR, Inc. CEO, Steve Simonson, came up with the program to combat "scare tactics" used by manufacturers of hardwood floors and laminate flooring. "Their idea is to discourage you from buying at a discount!" wrote Simonson in his blog "It's About Flooring". "This is not right! You deserve to save money! So we're going to take care of this problem once and for all."

And it would appear that federal law is on his side. Section 108 of the 1975 Magnuson-Moss Act, states that, "In general, tie-in sales provisions are not allowed. Such a provision would require a purchaser of the warranted product to buy an item or service from a particular company to use with the warranted product in order to be eligible to receive a remedy under the warranty."

Under iFLOOR's new warranty, a key provision allows for iFLOOR to "seek justice" on behalf of the customer in the event of legal action. According to Simonson, "I'm putting iFLOOR's money where my mouth is."

About iFLOOR, Inc.
Since 1998, iFLOOR.com has been the leading online and retail flooring company, with 36 local retail stores nationwide offering more than 70,000 products, including hardwood floors, laminate flooring, bamboo flooring and cork floors. iFLOOR.com is the largest online flooring retailer according to Internet Retailer Magazine, and was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States for the past three years. Committed to quality customer service, superior selection and friendly expert advice, iFLOOR.com enables customers to buy flooring both online and in its retail stores at a substantial savings over traditional retailers. For more information about iFLOOR, please visit www.iFLOOR.com.

Flaunting the New Page Rank

Like several of my other blogs, this one has been updated. I was surprised at such a low number, 2, but it's better than nothing. On our old blogspot domain, this blog had a page rank of 4. Not sure how to explain the pr2!

Several of my other blogs have updated with a new PR. Sadly Blog about your Blog lost a point.

Words of a Poet 0 to 2
It’s All Free Online 0 to 2
Blogging Addiction 0 to 2
Fantasy Football 0 to 3

If your looking to show off your new page rank, head on over to a pagerank topic and let us know what you've got.

Grow Your Wealth

The Wealth Expo is a three-day conference that are targeting towards investors looking to 'grow their wealth'. There are many companies, big and small, that will be attending this event. It's sponsored by MyWallSt.net: Your Financial Social Network.

The event will be in New York on:

  • Friday, 10/19: 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow
  • Saturday, 10/20: 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow
  • Sunday, 10/21: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. EDT (no cocktail hour)

There are many seminars scheduled to happen over that three day period. The one that particularly caught my eye is "Oil $ Gas Investments: Revenue and Tax Benefits". For any potential investor I don't think you can go wrong with Oil or Gas for many years to come. Especially in the U.S, because we are so dependent on it. Alternate forms of Oil, Gas, and Electricity won't really effect us dramatically for years.

There isn't anything to lose by attending, because this appears to be a free event. Free drinks and free advice, you can't beat that! However you do have to register to attend the Wealth Expo. Don't forget you get a free hat!

Approval from Chitika

Looking for more ways to monetize my blogs, I've been accepted to Chitika. I mentioned I was trying out Bidvertiser on this blog hoping to add more incoming from it rather than just from doing some sponsored posts.

With Chitika you display links to different products. You get to chose the category of what you want to display. For each click you receive $. I am going to start experimenting with it on my blogs to see how it performs. I will also be adding it to the sidebar on this blog.

Mortgage Rates

When making any big purchase you are going to want to find the best price or rates there are. To help you find that EHomeMortgages.com has set up a mortgage calculator to find mortgage rates. The process is simple and starts by state. Then of course what type of loan and personal information. After you fill out the form, you get your free quote.

If you are looking to buy a home, you'll of course need to look at home loans. They offer different rates, loans, refinancing, and more. They lay all of your options out for you.

Bidvertiser is Back

There isn't too much advertising on this blog and I like keeping it that way. However I do have one banner at the top. It used to be Auction Ads, but that wasn't making money on several of my blogs. I am turning to alternate ways to make money.

Bidvertiser is getting another trial run as the main advertising network on this blog. I will report my stats as they go, I hope this proves to be a earner for me. Any other ideas are more than welcome.

Promote your Website with BidVertiser. Get $20 in FREE clicks. I have used the free 20$ for my advertising campaigns. It's great to experiment with and see what advertising with Bidvertiser can do for you.

Car Guys Garage

Most garages I've had weren't for storing cars, they were for storing all of the junk we've accumulated over the years. If you are looking to make the garage, an actual garage, Car Guys Garage has just what you need to do that. If you are shopping for your special someone, they have great gifts for him. I don't even have a garage right now, but I'm tempted to order their free catalog.

Smorty

Smorty is a service like several others where you can get paid to blog. Advertisers pay you to blog about their website or product. I have overlooked this service due to the lower prices per review, but I have seen several that have been more than the seemingly standard of 6$.

This is my first post for Smorty and I hope to continue to use their service as there are several posts my blogs qualify for. What I have found however is there lack of information about the website. There isn't a FAQ section, or really a terms of service. I have no idea when I will be compensated for my posts, I hope it's soon though. There is a section displaying my "Smorty Score", but no information what the score is even about.

Smorty has the potential to compete with other paid to post websites. I hope they step it up to the next level.

Master Cleanse Day 1

Weight 208

Yesterday I started my lemonade diet. The drink actually tastes pretty good, the cayenne gives it the flavor of the little mexican candies. It's pretty difficult to not eat for a day, it's a habit to eat. I snack a lot or so it seems. I did take a few bites of a rice cake, I have to admit.

Every time I feel hungry I just drink the lemonade mixture and the hunger goes away. It must be the maple syrup. I haven't felt any pain after a day, however I was extremely tired and slept until 11:30 am! I couldn't believe the clock when I woke up.

Good news is I've already lost 3 pounds.

Rid Your Body of Built-Up Waste and Toxins

Blogging the Master Cleanse Diet

After seeing it on LA Ink I have embarked on the task of trying to survive on the master cleanse diet.

The cleanse is a lemonade drink made with lemon or lime juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water. While you are on this diet you aren't suppose to eat any food, just drink this drink.

  • 2 tablespoons FRESH squeezed lemon or lime juice (approx. 1/2 lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons genuine organic maple syrup, Grade B (the darker the better)
  • 1/10 teaspoon (a small pinch!) cayenne pepper, gradually increase
  • 300 - 500 ccm (10-14 oz) pure water

Instead of making it by the cup, I made a large pitcher, the recipe is easier, just takes a while to squeeze that much lime!

  • 60 oz water per day (or 10 oz per glass)
  • 12 tablespoons Organic Grade B Maple Syrup (or 2 tbsp. per glass)
  • 12 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (or 2 tbsp. per glass)
  • a little over half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper (or 1/10 tsp. per glass) or to taste

I will be blogging my progress.

Real Estate Class

Directories can be helpful for a lot of things, but I never would think of a directory for Real Estate Classes. Fastclass offers a huge map that allows you to find schools that offer real estate courses. The idea is to make it easier for students across the country to find the right school for them. When searching for schools in California, I only found one. I hope to see more of a variety listed soon, this website can be very marketable for people interested in real estate.

Get a Tutor

Education becomes more and more important. The United States has really fallen behind in the area, and students are struggling. They need more attention, and with giant class sizes, teachers can't give that. Thats where tutorvista.com can help. They offer help in many subjects including math and english.

For those studying for exams like the SAT's and CAHSEE there is also a section for that, however they appear to be really expensive. Basic help starts at 24.99$ for your first month, you can find great value. A private tutor would cost 8-10$ per hour! At least, thats what I would have charged.

TutorVista offers 24/7 services and you can get instant online tutoring sessions whenever you need them, and as often. Whether you need homework help, have writers block for an essay, or just simply need help in a subject they are available.

The Problogger Test

Daily Blog Tips has started their own questionnaire where they ask "blogging" questions.

I got a pretty low score, however I don't agree that their questions really determine your blogging knowledge. Of course the "true" blogging questions I got right.

Just for fun, check it out.

Halloween the Movie

With October right around the corner, scary movies are starting to surface.

My personal favorite scary movies are the Saw series, I was never much for scary movies. The movies are twisted and well written, you never know whats going to happen next. Even a little jumpy at times.

Halloween has similarities to those movies. It becomes a fight for life. Halloween the Movie has all the makings to join the rest as a classic scary movie. With new director Rob Zombie you never know which way he may take the movie. He is taking the Michael Myers character and storyline and really making it his own. I don't think it will be like any other Halloween movie before. Michael Myers is a classic and will always be for the scary movie genre. My girlfriend is very excited to see Halloween the movie, I can't wait.

Halloween the Movie is going to be released on August 31st.

Check out the 2 minute trailer:

Rob Zombie stakes the story and make it his own. This may be the bloodiest Halloween ever. After murdering a family and not speaking for 15 years, Michael Myers breaks out of jail, or wherever he was held. Halloween night he comes back with a vengeance.

Inkers

Inkers offer high quality ink and toner for a cost effective alternative to brand names. Their inkjet cartridges and toners come 100% guaranteed against defect for a complete year, which includes a thirty day no questions asked return policy.

With their free ground shipping the offer sounds real good. I wish they offered an affiliate program because I am constantly getting affiliate purchases with such products. I think that may be beneficial for them to look into, but in the meantime check out the site for low cost inket and toner cartridges.

Farreys

With it being summer in San Diego, I get so hot I have my mini-fan running all night. Unfortunately there isn't any ceiling fans in the bedrooms. In our previous apartment I had a very generic looking ceiling fan.

Farreys.com offers thousands of 'unique' ceiling fans from tons of manufacturers. By using the search tool on their website you can find exactly what you are looking for. Whether it is a certain brand like fanimation or "modern ceiling fans".

Its So Good to be Bad, Superbad

I am really excited to be blogging about this new movie coming out, Superbad. I have seen several previews on television about this, and I think it will really be a funny movie. It has a couple of the same people from the 40 year old virgin that I liked.

If you are still unsure of which movie I am referring to one of my favorite previews is when they check the kids fake ID, and all it says is "McLovin'". Of course the dumb cop believes it. There are several silly, yet funny scenes shown for this movie.

I'm not sure if I will be able to get to the theater to see this movie, but it is definitely on my to-do list.'

Superbad hits theaters Friday August 17th. The more I see these previews and movie clips the more I want to see it.

Make sure to go to youtube to watch 5 superbad movie clips on the homepage. They will only be there for a limited time, so make sure to check them out today.

If you are looking for ringtones or downloads from the movie go to the Superbad homepage.

Are you ready to be superbad?

No Inspiration

I was reading my list of RSS feeds and really nothing inspired me on what to write about.

Mostly people are doing their monthly summaries with their top commentors. I was on several lists receiving links to Blog about your Blog. As the list resets I will be changing our keyword to Blog Tools, hoping to get some different google searches.

As the month ends, seemingly contests are ending as well. I have been winning several prizes lately, and I can't wait until they come. The more prizes I win, the more I can give away, so I will definitely be keeping updates on the latest contests that I am hosting.

To gain and retain popularity for their websites, site owners are concerned to keep their audience right from the choice of a quality website hosting service up to every single seo step. By following a proper internet search advertising plan owning a site can earn one big bucks through one way of paid placements or another way of pay per click advertisement. A point of caution is to go for a webhosting domain with high uptime to ensure adequate presence in the cyber space.

A Review of Ultimate Paintball

I have never been able to play paintball , but it definitely sounds like fun, minus the pain of getting shot. I don't know much about it I wouldn't know where to start. What guns are good? What equipment do I need? What exactly is a paintball markers? However I found a good place to start learning at Ultimate Paintball.

They sell brand name gear and have a variety of guns. Some of these guns really seem hardcore, and they could definitely do some damage in a paint ball battle. Taking a look at the Tippman A-5 and some of the other guns, are looking pretty powerful to me.

A great feature they do offer when purchasing from their website is the free UPS shipping on all paintball orders of over 200$ or more. If you are an avid paint baller I can definitely see spending that much on this website. You can get a complete paintball gun package for about that much.

Win a Laptop Briefcase

At Blog about your Blog we are hosting another contest where you can win a great prize. A 180$ laptop briefcase is up for grabs, and all you have to do is blog about the contest. Just add a small bit of text mentioning the contest and you can be entered to win. There aren't many rules, but we would like you to linkback to Blog about your Blog and the contest sponsor Eco-Handbags.

Eco-Handbags produce products from rescued materials. Not only is each one of their items unique, they are also fashionable and made from recycled materials. I am glad to have been sponsored from such an eco-friendly website.

California Mortgages

Chances are if you have a home, that you also have a mortgage loan. When you are getting, or trying to get your loan, you really want to have the best mortgage rates. Looking at California Mortgages there are several mortgage companies you can use. My mother in law recently purchased a home in San Diego. I know San Diego mortgages can really be tough to qualify for and really process. It took nearly a month to get everything close to set up for the purchase.

Don't Have Just a Cocktail, Have a Super Cocktail

I use the internet for a lot of things, and I have to admit, finding drink recipes is one of them. It can be difficult to find good ways to make mixed drinks like a mojito or a daquiri. You really need good mixed drink recipes for it to come out right.

Whether your drinking shots or a mixed drink, it's always fun playing drinking games. I actually have several that I've played.

After looking around at Super Cocktails, I will definitely be returning to use their drink recipes when I am blending, stirring, or making a cocktail.

Fly Prudential Aviation

If you are traveling in high class, you may be chartering a jet. www.FlyPrudent.com offers information on how to do that. I thought it was pretty cool, not only is a jet ticket available, but there is also the option of helicopter. Of course catering is an option, which they seem to have plenty of. Caviar anyone?

Words of a Poet

Melbourne Australia

I have seen lots of things promoting Australia lately, from TV to the Internet. I have heard of only several cities there, one being Melbourne. Melbourne is Australia's second largest city. It is the region's leading culture centre with Australia's best cuisine.

Anyone planning to travel to Melbourne, should research some great hotels in Melbourne. CheaperThanHotels.com is offering great rates, and cheap hotels in Melbourne. From one star, to 5 star hotels, they have them all. All of the rates appear to be competitive.

Burn Notice

With the new TV season, there are many new shows starting. It seems the reality shows are taking over, while series such as CSI are off for a few months.

To combat this here comes USA Network's Burn Notice. Michael Weston is a CIA Operative who will be fired.

What will he be fired for? Possibly sleeping with the enemy? That would be juicy. Or is he a double agent, playing both sides? Perhaps he won't be fired at all, and will have to prove his innocence? You can find out why he was really fired by going to the website.

I'm not sure if I will be watching this show, however it looks like it might just be another hit. As I mentioned before CSI and those type of series have been really successful, and addictive.

Burn Notice will premier Thursday June 27th at 10 est on the USA Network. The stars of the show are Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell, and Sharon Gless.

Burn notice will premier Thursday June 27th at 10 est on the USA Network.

Another little piece of info. Are you now wondering what a Burn Notice is? I have the definition right here:

1. An official statement by one intelligence agency to other agencies, domestic or foreign, that an individual or group is unreliable.

Are you going to be watching this show?

Pay Day Cash Advance

Pay Day Cash Advances can get you out of a pinch. Say your bill is due before your check comes, you can get a cash advance. I would assume the fees are high, but if you took out a 500$ cash advance and paid it back in a week, your fees would only be about 40$. PayDayCashAdvanceLoans.Biz offer fast payday loans in your area. They seem to offer them everywhere, even in San Diego where I am.

It doesn't matter who my father was; it matters who I remember he was

I didn't have anything to blog about and I knew I wanted to get fathers day in there. I thought it would be interesting to see which website came up number one for the google search term "happy fathers day". In that search I found Wilstar.com.

I found some great father/dad quotes, like my title. That was said by Anne Sexton. The quote is especially important to me I think because I lost my father a few years ago, right when I started college. I was only 18, and we had a lot of problems over the years as I grew up.

Now I have a son of my own, so I guess fathers day is still a day I can celebrate.

"A man knows when he is growing old because he begins to look like his father." -- Gabriel Garcia Marquez

"I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection." -- Sigmund Freud

"Blessed indeed is the man who hears many gentle voices call him father!" -- Lydia M. Child

"It is a wise father that knows his own child." -- William Shakespeare

And a little bit of fathers day history

President Calvin Coolidge, in 1924, supported the idea of a national Father's Day. Then in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as Father's Day. President Richard Nixon signed the law which finally made it permanent in 1972.

Lucky 7s

As many bloggers know, Pay Per Post has received 7 million dollars in funding from investors. PayPerPost received 3 million earlier this year, the newest investment brings the total up to about 10 million. For those doubting PayPerPost, this is a sign that they won't be going anywhere, anytime soon.

Press Release:
The PayPerPost Revolution Accelerates, Sponsored
Blogging Marketplace Secures $7 Million Series B

Draper Fisher Jurvetson leads round and joins Board of Directors

ORLANDO, FL – (June 12, 2007) – PayPerPost, the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach bloggers and other consumer content creators, today announced it has completed a $7 million second round investment led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, an investor in the company's Series A and one of the world’s leading high-technology venture capital firms. The financing brings the total amount of capital raised by PayPerPost to over $10 million, giving the company considerable resources for further development as the industry’s leading Consumer Generated Advertising marketplace. Additional participants in the round include existing investors Inflexion Partners and Village Ventures as well as new investor DFJ Gotham. With this investment, DFJ Managing Director Josh Stein also joins PayPerPost’s Board of Directors.

“PayPerPost created this exciting new advertising space and has established itself as the industry leader,” said Ted Murphy, chief executive officer of PayPerPost. “Although we’ve only used a portion of our first round capital, this added support from investors unlocks significant growth potential. Our content creator and advertiser ROI metrics clearly demonstrate the upside for PayPerPost’s model. We intend to use this capital to build the infrastructure, visibility and professional expertise necessary to reach and retain a greater network of advertisers and content creators than ever before.”

Since its founding in June of 2006, PayPerPost has signed more than 6,500 advertisers to its groundbreaking service, which has enabled Consumer Content Creators to be compensated for their efforts discussing specific companies, products or services via blogs, videos or other media. The content creators are required to disclose relationships with advertisers on their blog, providing transparency for the end reader. Over 125,000 Internet postings, most in the form of blogs, have already earned money for their creators through PayPerPost’s innovative marketplace. PayPerPost recently released PayPerPost Direct, a disruptive new service that allows advertisers to contract and negotiate directly with individual bloggers they identify through a safe, managed system.

“PayPerPost has laid a strong foundation for the future,” noted Tim Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. “It continues to attract a critical mass of participants from both the advertising and blogging communities. Analogous to Overture’s sponsored search model, we believe PayPerPost’s business model holds disruptive potential and will enable the company to thrive in the evolving paid-content arena.”

To mark the $7 million dollar funding, PayPerPost has launched a new website detailing the company’s service offering at http://www.payperpost.com. Bloggers and advertisers can easily sign up at the site and begin leveraging the self service marketplace.

In the existence of PayPerPost, they have developed quite a following and loyalty due to their blog ethics. To reward the posties Pay Per Post is running a 7 day promotion called the Lucky 7's.

Lucky 7sFor 7 days (until next tuesday) they are allocating 7,000 dollars in opportunity's to blog about payperpost. The amounts will be 10.77$ (which this post is), 70$ and 700$. I have seen at least two of the 700 dollar opps, but they were already reserved by the time I saw them.

I definitely think PPP is doing a great thing by having these opps. I would definitely like to see more opps though. Instead of a bulk 700$ offer, I would love to see 7! 100 dollar offers. There are so many posties, its really tough to even have a shot at these exclusive opps. It's nice to reward those that have been supporting payperpost for a while now, but I do think it is better to "share the wealth"

What's Your Big Digg?

Top 10 Tech Web Tips is asking what is your big digg?

They want to know what your biggest digg has been. Which article have you received the most diggs on?

I've recently been promoting my articles on digg, with mild success. I haven't reached front-page stardom yet, but I fully intend to.

The most diggs we have received on an article at Blog about your Blog is about 65. Make HotLinking Work for You currently has 68 diggs, and was very close to the front page. We did still receive a bit of traffic for our efforts.

Currently I am pushing an article I wrote about Alexa. Increasing your Alexa Rank Free! has 25 diggs at the time of this post. I am just realizing now I should have named it, How to Lower Your Alexa Ranking Free, but thats okay.

Don't forget to head on over to top 10 web tips, and let them know your biggest digg. If anything you will receive a digg out of it from me, and some link love (do follow blog).

Reading Ordinary Folk, I found and article on Julies Journal.

1408 Movie Review and Trailer

Stephen King really hasn't interested me too much as I'm not really into scary movies. I've only really liked a few scary movies, but not from Stephen King. However I have seen several of his movies, and of course they are classics. Movies such as Misery, Thinner and It are all-time movies to some, especially my girl friend. She makes me watch all of them.

The next movie coming out in the saga of Stephen King movies is going to be the 1408 Movie. It will be a short story turned into a movie. I've never heard of... until now.

After watching the trailer this may be a movie that I will see and enjoy from Stephen King's work. The movie is starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. Cusack daughter dies, and he spends years trying to contact the afterlife and ghosts. He then receives a mysterious post card about the room 1408.

Now enters Samuel L Jackson.

He is the hotel manager and explains that there have been 56 deaths in room 1408 and advises Cusack not to stay there. Of course... he stays in the room, and then the craziness starts.

If you haven't heard of the movie, here is the trailer. Enjoy! Tell me what you think.

The News Room

I just signed up to The News Room and this website may be very beneficial to me for the next couple of months.

I know Youtube is going to try to pay members for popular videos, but The News Room is paying for all videos. Just by putting their videos on your website you can get paid. Unless it is a highly trafficked website, you won't receive much but it's something (CPM start at 1$)

Say I get 1,000 impressions on this video about Paris Hilton going to jail

I would then receive 3$ from The News Room. Also, anyone who "mashed it" and put it on their website, would make even more money. I don't see this as a get rich thing obviously, but I could definitely see earning a few extra dollars with this. By publishing several videos and news feeds on your websites that you would write about anyways, this is a nice addition to that.

The News ROom has hundreds of fully licensed stories that you can publish, so you don't have to worry about 'stealing' or recording one of your own. You don't have to worry about copy right infringement like on Youtube.

Apparently you can also win prizes from TNR (TheNewsRoom). I haven't seen to much about that on their website, but maybe it's a brand new feature. They call it a "loyalty" thing, so the prizes may be reserved for members who use their program a lot.

It’s Not Always About Traffic

While getting traffic to your site definitely is important, what is more important is what you do with the traffic that does come into your site. Meaning, what is your conversion rate? If you have 100 visits per day, how many people do you convert into regular readers?

Free Sweepstakes at WhoGets

whogets.com is a website I just found from the pay per post forums, and registered to. The idea is fun and simple. Advertisers donate prizes for us to win, and WhoGets.Com randomly selects people to be finalists. You write why you should get the prize, if you make it to finalist stage, other members can vote for you based on your reasons as to why you think you should win.

Sound complicated? Maybe, but it's not! Let me know if you are a member and in the running for a competition, I'd be happy to vote for you. I am currently entered to win an I Pod Nano, I hope I am selected.

I am being compensated for this post, however what I have written is my own opinion.

Win 100 Dollars with Kumiko

Kumiko has new domain and she's giving away 100$ to the winner of her Cash Quest Competition. Kumiko is a make money online blogger and does pretty well. You can read her money making tips, and what works for her. You can also see her earnings as well as opinions about other blogs and money makers.

I recently purchased a review from her, and it was well worth the money. Not only did she send us traffic, but more importantly she sent us readers. She delivers "John Chow Quality" at a fraction of the price.

PPP Direct

A new feature I have added to this blog is PPP Direct. You can have advertisers basically get you to review their site "directly" with Pay Per Post taking a small fee. There has been many bloggers giving their opinion about PPP Direct. Some question how effective it is, while others are heavily promoting it. There are several pros and cons by using PPP direct.

Pros

You take more of a cut compared to other services. ReviewMe takes 50% of your take, while others take about 35% of your cut. PPP Direct charges a small %10 fee, with 5% going to Paypal and credit card processing fees.

Safety and security of dealing through PayPerPost and their 'brand name'.

You don't have to deal directly with potential advertisers.

There is a handy negotiation feature if you think the advertisers request is unfair, such as review type, length of article etc.

Cons

Advertisers have to find you, there is no marketplace to promote your services. Your market is on your blog.

If advertisers already found you, why not deal with them directly? Why pay PPP direct fees, for advertisers you potentially found yourself.

To me there seems to be more good than bad, and I have decided to give PPP direct a shot on this blog. Review Me has a marketplace, but it has been very difficult to sell reviews on it.

Increasing Blog Traffic by Using HTML in Comments of Other Blogs.

You can gain blog traffic by commenting on other blogs using HTML to make your comments stand out among the other comments. When your comments stand out, viewers are drawn to them and tend to click through to your site over the other guys. So, using HTML in comments gives you an advantage in the more popular, highly commented on, sites.

If you want to read the entire article go to Increasing Blog Traffic by Using HTML in Comments of Other Blogs

Remortgage Guild

Bad credit? That has become a problem for a lot of people. Without having good credit, you could be declined for loans, mortgages, a car, etc. Remortgage Guild is trying to help people find a remortgage even with bad credit. Remortgage is like refinancing. With a remortgage a person can use it to reduce monthly payments, buy a car, or improve their home.

Lowest Unique Bid Wins at Bid4Prizes

Bid4Prizes has been making a huge splash in the blogosphere, sponsoring hundreds of bloggers to blog about their website. Not only that, they have also become a sponsor of payperpost.
Since blogging about bid4prizes 2 months ago, they have added a few things, such as a past winners page. I haven't read about anyone winning on blogs, but here they provide pictures of the winners along with prizes that they've won. They've also included testimonials of people who have won prizes in the past.
Right now they have great prizes like a Nintendo Wii and a BMW! To participate in the auction, you text message your bid. To win, you must have the unique lowest bid.
With all those great prizes, I would definitely have to go for the BMW, who wouldn't love an essentially free car? I could definitely use one, since I am currently without a car. The car is valued at about 36,000, and the current bid is only about 4.00$!

TripWiser

When I first went to TripWiser - social trip planner for the USA and Canada, I wasn't exactly sure what I was supposed to be doing. Then I spent 20 minutes looking through their site, pretending to plan my own trip. You can find hotels, restaurants and things to do, in 5 seconds, literally. Then you can sort those things by price, location and other categories depending on what you are looking for. I search my own hometown of San Diego, and found it interesting the places and sights they recommended. TripWiser is definitely a great resource if you are going on vacation, you'll never have a spare minute! TripWiser is a great resource and gives you tons of great options to do on your vacation.

This is a sponsored post.

Easy To Book

To get hotels online, there has been a lot of improvements, including user reviews and recommendations. EasytoBook currently has a rating system as well as recommendations via reviews. You can view hotels based on their rating, as well as how many "stars" the hotels has.
On each locations website, there are several different "special offers" including 'featured' hotel, hotel of the month and the deluxe special. Right now they are currently featuring hotels in Barcelona and Rome Hotels. Check out there 'special offers', I'm sure there will be something you like.

WithCharacterKids.com Review

I am excited to be able to write about WithCharacterkids.com. They offer online shopping for baby products such as diaper bags, infant & toddler bedding and beds, as well as other things to decorate your child's room.

They also feature popular brands and television characters like Dora the Explorer, Thomas the Train, Spongebob, and Blues Clues.

I'm personally in the market for a diaper bag. The one we currently have, is over a year old now, since we got it at the baby shower. So, to the diaper bag section is the first place I went when surfing on WithCharacterKids.com

The choices are great, whether you are looking for style or convenience. For the bags I looked at, you could be paying anywhere form 10-30$ which is decent, it's what a purse would cost.

The bag that I liked best is the Eddie Bauer Backpack Diaper Bag. Not just for the brand name (I like Eddie Bauer) the bag is looks convenient, I love that its a backpack. It's not exactly manly carrying around a diaper bag!

This website is great for gifts as well as inexpensive must-have items. I hope you decide to check it out.

Blogging the Encyclopedia

When you are trying to find information about a keyword such as Online Business you may come across online encyclopedias. Encyclocentral.com happens to be one of them. It took me a little while to maneuver around the website, but the layout is pretty nice and simple. There is articles on tons of other subjects like web developement, but I was sad to see there was nothing regarding blogs or blogging.

Comment Friday at BAYB

It's Comment Friday again at Blog about your Blog. BAYB has seen a huge increase of comments and bloggers visiting and participating in their special Fridays. Last week they managed a whopping 40 comments! This week the target is 50. Looking to get some more visitors and a possible link for your blog? Go leave a comment!

With the new movie coming out, the post SpiderMan 3: Images of Venom is getting some attention.

Farrey's: The Lighting Solution since 1919

When I was asking to write about Farreys.Com I was surprised at what I found when I visited the page. Not at all what I expected! I know they feature lighting, but I didn't expect it to be that bright. HAH! Bad play on words, but it works, right?

Farrey's is like an giant online Home Depot. Instead of getting lost in a giant department store, you can search for whatever it is you want. I'm not going to pretend I know "brand names" of their items, but they do brag about their giant selection. What I did do, is look at the most unique thing that I saw. I came across Sea Gull Lighting. From there you can see dozens of pictures of different chandeliers. I'm still not sure why it's called Sea Gull, but it looks nice.

Adam Dempsey

To keep up on the blogosphere, many bloggers are starting 2 or more blogs and website projects. Each blogger wants more of a reach, more visitors. That's human nature, we always want more.

I found an interesting website that is showcasing a blogger/entrepreneur's website projects and endeavors. Adam Dempsey's Current Websites and Projects can be found on his website. As you can see not many of his projects run together, however he has brought them all together on this page.

Soon I will be doing something along those lines, with other blogs and websites (hopefully a directory). To have one page with all that info is a great idea.

Traveling Abroad

Traveling abroad, for most people, is a once in a life-time opportunity. And for a lot of people they want to make the most of it. Searching online looking at different places around the world I found four star hotels.

Christchurch Accommodation was the first that I found. Christchurch is in New Zealand.

I also found Glasgow Accommodation. Glasgow is in the UK. I would assume looking online for hotels would be cheaper, or even best for last minute accommodations.

Fabric Tension

With the introduction of the dye sub fabric tension systems we will slowly see the replacement of the traditional pop up trade show displays. The traditional pop up displays of yesterday consists of four or more laminated panel displays with frames and channel bars that you see in many trade show events today. The advantages of the new fabric tension booths are; that they pack smaller and setup quicker. The booths weigh nearly a third of a traditional pop-up displays, saving you time and money. They are also seamless making it easier on designers while still providing a professional look. The days of setting up your display in 15-30 minutes is over; with this new system you can literally setup your display in 3 minutes or less. Best of all, the fabric tension display now comes in a curved version or table top display size and cost just a fraction more than its pop up counterpart. You owe it to yourself, and your company to at least look into the benefits of owning your very own curved fabric tension system. Contact the helpful representatives at exhibe portable.com

To tweak or not to tweak your blog?

They say, if you stand still in business, you die. A bit demoralising to think that you have to keep pushing and can’t rest on your laurels. Not that natural-born entrepreneurs ever think of resting easy. You have that ache in your stomach to tweak what you already have, dump what isn’t working, and invent the next big thing. And natural born bloggers are the same too, I suspect.
